In the community of Oakville, some places require more vigilance and caution than
others. We call these places "Areas of Concern", and they're all around your neighborhood.

STRANGER DANGER
When talking with someone you don't know, please remember to watch for warning signs of their true intentions. Be cautious of those trying to lure you to secluded environments, show signs of aggression, or adults who try and talk to your kids in an unnatural way. When walking in Areas of Concern, make sure to be acommpanied by a friend or be armed with a taser, pepper spray, or knife.

Getting away from the negative side of the topic of safety, there are plenty of
activities and sights to see in the town of Oakville! When attending a public event or planning a trip to the movies, arcades, or many places of amusement, make sure to bring a family member, friend, or group to ensure you have a safe and
pleasant time
